Tennessee’s latest transfer addition is already recruiting more talent to the Vols
The Tennessee Vols’ latest transfer addition is trying to help bring some talent to Rocky Top.
One of the Tennessee Vols’ latest transfer additions isn’t wasting any time trying to help bring some more talent to Rocky Top.
Penn State Nittany Lions transfer safety Dejuan Lane committed to Tennessee on Saturday afternoon.
Lane, 6-2, 212 pounds, is a former four-star recruit who signed with Penn State during the 2024 recruiting cycle.
The Maryland native totaled 29 tackles and a sack for the Nittany Lions in 2025. Lane also had an interception as a true freshman in 2024.
Dejuan Lane is already recruiting transfer talent to Tennessee
Shortly after committing to the Vols on Saturday, Lane took to Twitter to recruit some of his former Penn State teammates to Tennessee.
Lane made pitches to Penn State transfer defensive lineman Enai White and Penn State transfer running back Tikey Hayes.
White is a former four-star recruit who started his career at Texas A&M. He played just 60 snaps for Penn State in 2025 (per On3) and totaled three tackles and one sack.
Hayes is a former four-star recruit who was a true freshman this past season. He didn’t see any action for the Nittany Lions in 2025.
The Vols could still use some transfer help along the defensive line. Tennessee is also still looking for a transfer running back. We’ll see if the Vols get involved with either of Lane’s former teammates.
