Bills’ Josh Allen wastes no time with his own injury update just seconds after pulling off the thrilling playoff win vs. Jaguars
Josh Allen was banged up in the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, going into the blue medical tent on more than one occasion.
The Buffalo Bills have the best quarterback on the planet in Josh Allen.
He was as advertised this weekend, dicing up the Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense with three total touchdowns and no interceptions. That’s not to say that there weren’t some scary moments throughout.
Allen was banged up on more than one occasion. Whenever your franchise quarterback enters the blue medical tent, it’s a cause for concern among the fan base. He was seen for a concussion and a knee injury, all while still nursing a foot injury from the win against the Cleveland Browns.
Immediately after the game, Allen wasted no time letting the world know how he’s feeling, health-wise. For the Bills Mafia, the update from the reigning MVP might have been better than the win.
“Yeah, it was more of a precautionary thing,” Allen said. “Just got rolled up on and they wanted to take a quick look, we’re all good.”
Allen was magical in the win against the Jacksonville Jaguars
Despite dealing with some injuries, it all came down to a fourth-quarter drive with the ball in Allen’s hands, and the rest, as they say, is history. Allen methodically drove down the field and found the end zone with a signature tush push, and Buffalo never looked back.
“Feels good, feels good,” Allen said. “Same time, just means that we get another game and we gotta go find a way to put our best foot forward this week in practice. Put together a good game plan, go out there and execute next Saturday or Sunday, whenever we play.”
Buffalo will travel to Denver to take on the Broncos after the Los Angeles Chargers lost to the New England Patriots. Another tough defensive road matchup awaits Buffalo. Fortunately, Allen and the entire team seem to have the right mindset heading into next week.
“We feel like we’ve been in situations like this and now every game presents itself in a different way,” Allen said. “But to understand the moment, to not ride the wave, again, that was stuff that we’ve learned throughout the entire season. We were able to utilize that and use it today.”
With Allen already turning the page, Buffalo now heads to Denver with its leader healthy, confident, and in full command. In the playoffs, that’s the kind of combination that gives the Bills and the Bills Mafia every reason to believe the run is far from over.
