The Oregon Ducks are trying to swipe a 2027 commit from the Tennessee Vols.

Oregon offered 2027 three-star cornerback Kamauri Whitfield on Wednesday.

Whitfield, 5-foot-11/185 pounds from Orlando, FL, has been committed to Tennessee since October.

Whitfield is rated by 247Sports as the No. 36 cornerback in the nation and the No. 33 player in the state of Florida.

The Florida Gators are also trying to swipe Kamauri Whitfield from the Vols

Oregon isn’t the only program working to flip Whitfield from Tennessee.

The Florida Gators are also trying to swipe the three-star commit from the Volunteers.

Whitfield recently took a visit to Florida, and the Gators are now very much in the mix for the talented cornerback.

“This visit definitely helped Florida,” said Whitfield to On3. “They’re not too far away from Tennessee. I will be back at Florida, and they will definitely get an official visit.”

Whitfield is only a three-star, but he could end up being rated much higher by the time he officially signs with a program in December.

“Whitfield is currently a three-star, but his interest indicates that he could wind up as a blue-chipper in due time,” wrote On3’s Hunter Shelton. “One thing is for sure: programs will continue to push to flip him from Tennessee.”

We’ll see if the Vols can hold on to Whitfield — there’s certainly a long way to go in this recruiting battle.
