The Tennessee Vols could be on the verge of landing an experienced transfer offensive lineman who recently visited Knoxville.

Tennessee hosted West Virginia transfer offensive lineman Donovan Haslam on a visit this week. Haslam, 6-3, 346 pounds, started his career at Austin Peay before transferring to West Virginia.

The Georgia native played left guard, left tackle, and right guard this past season for the Mountaineers.

On3’s Pete Nakos predicts that Tennessee will land Donovan Haslam

On3’s Pete Nakos predicted on Friday that Haslam will commit to Tennessee.

“Sources tell On3 that Tennessee is trending to land the offensive lineman. I’ve logged a prediction in favor of the Vols landing Haslam,” noted Nakos.

The Vols landed LSU Tigers transfer offensive lineman Ory Williams earlier this month. Adding Haslam would give the Vols another starting option on their offensive line and provide the program with much-needed depth.

At this point, it’s unclear what Tennessee’s starting offensive line will look like in 2026.

The assumption is that offensive tackle David Sanders, center Sam Pendleton, and guard Wendell Moe are locked into starting spots, leaving Williams and Jesse Perry to battle Haslam (if he lands with the Vols as predicted) for the final two starting spots.

Of course, it’s not like any program makes it through a season with the same five offensive linemen playing every snap. That’s why having six starting-caliber offensive linemen is essentially a must for any program that plans to be a contender.
