The New England Patriots are a win away from a Super Bowl appearance against either the Seattle Seahawks or Los Angeles Rams. They aren’t wavering when it comes to the belief in their team against the Denver Broncos.

For Denver, they will be playing with a backup quarterback after Bo Nix suffered an ankle injury last weekend that ended his impressive campaign.

Broncos fans are already dejected about their QB situation after Bo Nix injury

It is no secret that the Nix injury news was a tough pill to swallow for the Broncos and their fans. The team was ecstatic to come out victorious over the Buffalo Bills, but that hype quickly got cold water poured on it when head coach Sean Payton revealed that Nix wouldn’t play for the rest of the season.

Sean Payton was incredibly proud of Nix for his performance in the Divisional Round. He’s had this week to prepare for the swap to Stidham for this Patriots matchup.

“Yes, he was fantastic when we needed him, and he made some plays with his feet,” head coach Sean Payton said after the game. “Both teams were nicked up. They were nicked up coming in, and we got nicked up quick. [WR] Pat [Bryant] is out, and then pretty soon [WR] Troy Franklin’s out, and then you’re down to three receivers.”

A Patriots playmaker isn’t holding back on throwing some shade toward Denver ahead of the game, though.

Kayshon Boutte proves his confidence in beating Denver for Super Bowl berth

In response to a comment from Payton, Patriots wideout Kayshon Boutte poked some fun at hime and his team. He mentioned that any extra rest for the Broncos can come on vacation after they lose to New England this weekend.

We will see if Boutte can continue his strong play for Drake Maye and the Patriots passing game. If so, that will help his team back up his bold comments that the Broncos can definitely use as bulletin board material going into the AFC title game.
