Congratulations go out to Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid for being named to his first career Pro Bowl. Kincaid joins quarterback Josh Allen, running back James Cook, and offensive tackle Dion Dawkins as this year’s selections. Kincaid replaces Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

According to Buffalo Bills PR, Kincaid is just the fourth tight end in team history to be named to a Pro Bowl. He joins Ernie Warlick (1962-1965), Paul Costa (1965-1966), and Dawson Knox (2022). When healthy, Kincaid is one of the best tight ends in all of football.

Dalton Kincaid battled through adversity in 2025

Kincaid didn’t explode off the stats sheet, but he was limited for most of the season we’ve now learned. The talented tight end was playing with a torn PCL, something that he had been dealing with since initially suffering the injury in Week 10 of the 2024 season. Knox shared the news while speaking on the “Monday Mornings with Mitch” podcast.

According to Sumer Sports AI, the data is astounding when Kincaid is on the field. The win percentage more than doubles (83.3% from 40%), EPA per play increases (0.175 from -0.004), yards per play increase (6.11 from 5.54), overall success rate improves (49.9% from 42.8%), passing completion percentage jumps (71.2% from 64.5%), and third down conversion rate improved (46.9% from 40.3%).

Josh Allen + Dalton Kincaid = success

When Kincaid was targeted by Allen, good things happened. Allen had the highest passer rating in the league among tight ends (149.2). Kincaid had 571 yards on 39 receptions for five touchdowns and ended with a career high in yards per reception (14.6).

He shouldn’t be regarded as just a pass catcher, though he is exceptional; he’s done his damage in the run blocking game as well, earning a 70.6 grade from PFF and an overall blocking grade of 86.8.

When you take everything into account, considering his injury, his Pro Bowl nod feels less like a nice story and more like validation. He played through some real adversity, elevated the offense whenever he stepped foot on the field, and earned the respect from the league despite not being at 100%.

If this is what Kincaid looks like while battling a torn PCL, the thought of what he can do if he gets fully healthy for 2026 should have Bills Mafia very excited.
