There were some notable snubs from the Pro Bowl for the Detroit Lions in 2025. However, there was no bigger snub than Jared Goff. After finishing second in passing yards, second in passing touchdowns, sixth in completion percentage, third in passer rating, and having the second-lowest turnover rate in the league, Goff was snubbed in favor of Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold. Now that Darnold is going to the Super Bowl, that opens up a spot for Goff in the Pro Bowl.

Jared Goff will be heading to the Pro Bowl after all

Since Goff was voted in as a first alternate, he takes Darnold’s spot in the event. This will be Goff’s fifth Pro Bowl in his career and his third as a Lion. Last year, Goff won the Pro Bowl MVP. Let’s see if he can do it again this year.
