QB Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos quietly set an incredible NFL record in 2025
The Denver Broncos set an impressive record in 2025 despite coming up short in the NFL playoffs.
The Denver Broncos’ 2025 season ended a couple of weeks earlier than the franchise had hoped.
Denver successfully broke the Kansas City Chiefs’ nine-year streak of winning the AFC West before nearly reaching the Super Bowl for the first time in a decade.
The Broncos’ season ended with a loss to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game, thanks in part to a fourth-quarter blizzard that limited Denver’s offensive approach.
Despite the season ending on a sour note, it was still an incredible year for the Broncos. And one reason why it was incredible was because of quarterback Bo Nix and his ability to engineer several impressive comebacks
Denver set an NFL record for comeback wins in a season
According to CBS Sports, Nix and the Broncos posted an NFL-record 12 comeback wins in 2025.
“The Broncos had an NFL-record 12 comeback wins and tied an NFL record with 11 one-score wins (2024 Chiefs),” noted CBS Sports’ Douglas Clawson. “Their most impressive comeback was against the Giants, which they won after trailing 19-0 in the fourth quarter. They recorded the most points in the fourth quarter in NFL history by a team shut out through three quarters (33).”
Denver’s win against the New York Giants was particularly memorable as Nix accounted for four touchdowns in the fourth quarter (two passing and two rushing touchdowns).
If not for Nix’s ankle injury, the Broncos may have added one more comeback win to their resumé — one that would’ve sent Denver to the Super Bowl.
