There wasn’t a lot of expectation for Strong heading into the season, but he made sure to make his mark through limited playing time. Strong earned a start in the comeback win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, a surprising turn of events for the young rookie. In Weeks 2 through 4, he split time with veteran cornerback Tre’Davious White, racking up tackles and looking promising in coverage.
While the talk of the town will be Beane’s decision to draft Deone Walker, Strong looked like yet another late-round steal, and it is as if the Bills had struck gold once again with his selection.
The talented cornerback suffered a neck injury in the team’s Week 4 win over the New Orleans Saints, and there had been no real update from the coaching staff until after the season ended, shrouding Strong’s injury with uncertainty.
