Bills get a huge win on their day off of football and fans are the ultimate winner with the latest NFL decision
What a day for the Bills Mafia.
The Buffalo Bills aren’t going international, thank goodness. This is the time of the year when the NFL announces plans for overseas contests. It’s an effort from the NFL to get into more markets as teams are traveling to Brazil, Germany, England, among others. Fortunately for fans of the Buffalo Bills and those who aren’t fans of international games, Buffalo is staying put this season.
International games are always tricky; the jet lag tends to lead to some pretty awful football if you ask me. Remember when the Bills traveled to London to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars and multiple players got injured, and the game was just as sloppy as they come?
NFL fans are trying to avoid that like the plague, no pun intended, and fortunately, Buffalo won’t have to travel far this season. They weren’t one of the teams selected to travel in the 2026 season.
The Buffalo Bills were not selected to play in any international game in 2026
As Chris Brown reported, with the Atlanta Falcons being the ninth and final host team of the international games, it confirms that the Bills won’t be participating. They aren’t scheduled to play any of the teams hosting an international game as a road opponent.
And that’s a win.
The Bills already have enough hurdles in front of them with a new coaching staff, cap gymnastics, and a roster that still needs a few key additions. The last thing this team needs is a disrupted routine, a long-haul flight, and an “away” game played 4,000 miles away.
Instead, Buffalo gets stability. No passport required. No jet lag excuses. Just a full focus on chasing a Super Bowl the old-fashioned way right here in the United States.
For a team with championship aspirations, this might be the best news of the offseason so far.
