CBS Sports college basketball analyst Bruce Pearl was in Bridgestone Arena on Thursday to watch the last two teams he coached — the Tennessee Vols and the Auburn Tigers — face off in the second round of the SEC Tournament.

Pearl, though, wasn’t there to watch the game objectively — he was there to cheer for the Tigers.

The 65-year-old former head coach wore an Auburn polo as he sat close to the court, cheering on the team that’s now coached by his son, former Tennessee guard Steven Pearl.

Bruce Pearl goes viral for screaming at someone from the stands

At one point during the game, which the Vols won 72-62 after a furious 20-0 run that put Tennessee in control of the outcome, Pearl went berserk in the stands.

It’s unclear who Pearl was yelling out from the stands, but some of the words he said (such as “that’s bulls–t”) were very clear.

After the game, Pearl sent a snarky tweet insinuating that Tennessee’s “rim protection” went over the line.

It was a basketball game, so of course there were some missed calls.

Vols guard Ja’Kobi Gillespie, for example, got his head taken off on one play where there was no whistle.

Maybe Pearl was just upset about Tennessee forward Felix Okpara’s game-changing block.

Regardless of what Pearl was upset about, one thing is certain — he looked like a lot of dads at youth travel tournaments when things aren’t going their kid’s way.
