College basketball analyst makes prediction for Tennessee that will make April feel like Christmas for Vols fans
Rick Barnes and the Tennessee Vols didn’t waste any time getting to work this offseason. The Volunteers have been very active in the NCAA transfer portal, and they aren’t done yet.
A college basketball analyst who covers the Michigan Wolverines made a prediction this week that will make April feel like Christmas morning for the Tennessee Vols.
On3’s Josh Henschke made a prediction on Wednesday for the Volunteers to land coveted Wake Forest Demon Deacons transfer guard Juke Harris.
Henschke acknowledged that things can change at a moment’s notice when it comes to the transfer portal, so it’s not like anything with Tennessee and Harris (for now) is a done deal.
Michigan and North Carolina are also in the mix for Harris, a 6-foot-7 wing who averaged 21 points per game for the Demon Deacons last season.
The Wolverines, however, appear to be fading.
“Rick Barnes is taking that one on kind of personally,” said VolQuest’s Austin Price Wednesday on 104.5 The Zone of Tennessee’s pursuit of Harris. “He has been working [Harris]. It felt like Michigan four days ago. He went there first (on a visit). He got there and (Michigan) had this championship celebration. But the further we get away from that, the more this feels like a Tennessee vs North Carolina battle.”
Juke Harris to Tennessee isn’t the only big prediction that was made for the Vols this week
That’s not the only big prediction that was made for Tennessee on Wednesday.
On3’s Pete Nakos predicted that Tennessee will also land Notre Dame transfer forward Jalen Haralson.
Haralson, 6-foot-7/220 pounds, averaged 16.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game as a freshman this past season at Notre Dame. He arrived at Tennessee for a visit on Tuesday.
North Carolina and Ohio State are also in the mix for Haralson.
We’ll see in the coming days if these predictions come true. If they do, then the rest of the SEC better watch out — the Vols could be loaded next season.
