3 players who could be saying goodbye to Buffalo on draft night as Brandon Beane and company look to make a splash when the madness begins
The Buffalo Bills have some important decisions to make once the 2026 NFL Draft begins. Here are three players who could be saying goodbye to the organization once the madness begins.
The Buffalo Bills are just days away from the 2026 NFL Draft, and they really need to nail their selections. General manager Brandon Beane has a lot riding on everything going well, as former head coach Sean McDermott can no longer be the scapegoat.
For the team to be able to compete, they need to nail their selections and help fill out the remainder of the roster. Ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, we wanted to do a fun exercise with players who could be traded on draft night. Buffalo doesn’t hold any second-round selections, so the team could use some assets on the team to get the job done.
I want to preface this by saying that no one outside of wide receiver Keon Coleman is predicted to be traded away. I don’t suspect even Coleman to be traded away if I’m being honest, but I wanted to share the fun little experiment with you all.
Without further ado, let’s look at three players who could be looking to leave Buffalo once the draft begins on Thursday.
DT Ed Oliver
Oliver is a one-man wrecking crew on defense when he’s healthy, which could be enough for a team to want to bring him in for their own. Oliver had some injury concerns in the 2025 season as he suffered a torn biceps and was unable to play for the majority of the season. Still, he’d be a valuable trade chip if Buffalo were to go in that direction.
The one reason why I can’t see this happening is that Buffalo is currently struggling in the defensive tackle room. They can use all the bodies they can get for that specific position, so hamstringing them by removing one of the most important players at the position feels unlikely. But again, crazier things have happened.
WR Keon Coleman
Coleman has been the talk of the town, and even Adam Schefter reported he’s a name to watch out for being traded on draft night. Head coach Joe Brady has been adamant that Coleman is part of the team’s long-term plans, but if the right trade comes in, it’s hard not to see Coleman potentially leaving the organization so Buffalo could get some draft ammo.
He just hasn’t quite lived up to the hype that Buffalo drafted him with the second-round pick just a few short years ago. Disciplinary reasons, a lack of effort, and just not enough consistent productivity could wind up being the reason he leaves, if Buffalo decides to pull the trigger on a trade offer on draft night.
OL O’Cyrus Torrence
Perhaps the biggest longshot to say goodbye to the franchise is that of O’Cyrus Torrence. He’s a staple on the offensive line and a big part of why quarterback Josh Allen remains upright. Still, the bill is coming due for Torrence, and the team could elect to avoid all the contract drama and ship him away if the price is right once the draft strikes.
Again, this is all hypothetical, and the most realistic scenario we could see playing out is that Coleman leaves Buffalo with a trade to another team, not Oliver or Torrence.
At the end of the day, that’s what makes the NFL Draft so unpredictable.
Benae has never been afraid to make a bold decision if he believes it puts the Bills in a better position to win. With no second-round pick, the temptation to get creative could be stronger than ever. Whether that means standing pat, trading back, or shocking everyone with a roster move, all options should be on the table.
Come Thursday night, don’t be surprised if Buffalo reminds everyone that nothing is off-limits when the clock starts ticking.
