Way too early Browns’ 3-round 2027 NFL Mock Draft: Cleveland finally takes their big shot in the first round to end its biggest problem
The Browns just finished up the 2026 NFL Draft with 10 selections. We’re already looking ahead to what they could bring in during the 2027 NFL Draft.
We’re just days past the 2026 NFL Draft and the dust is still settling from what looks like a terrific class for the Cleveland Browns.
After having a good draft a year ago, it appears the Browns have outdone themselves this time around. Cleveland brought in 10 players headlined by LT Spencer Fano, WRs KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston, and S Emmanuel McNeil-Warren.
The Browns still need to figure out the quarterback position, which they do in the first 3-round 2027 NFL Mock Draft at A to Z Sports below.
Note: The draft order is reverse Super Bowl odds.
Way too early Browns 2027 NFL Mock Draft
Round 1, No. 2: Dante Moore, QB, Oregon
“Dante Moore has been a special quarterback talent dating back to high school. Everyone knew he had elite potential. However, he struggled as UCLA attempted to force him onto the field back in 2023 when Moore was still a true freshman. The good news? Moore realized he wasn’t ready yet, so he transferred to Oregon. He sat and learned behind the sixth-year veteran Dillon Gabriel in 2024, and then stepped up in a huge way last season. 30 passing touchdowns. Over nine adjusted yards per pass attempt. 72% completion rate. Moore was cooking in 2025. It shouldn’t surprise anyone to know he’s considered a near lock for top-five NFL Draft capital in 2027.” – Travis May, A to Z Sports
Round 2, No. 34: Matayo Uiagalelei, EDGE, Oregon
Round 3, No. 66: Trevor Lauck, OT, Iowa
Analyzing the first 2027 mock draft for the Browns
If the Browns can’t get some kind of strong performance from one of the quarterbacks on their roster this season, they’ll be taking a quarterback in the first round of the draft next year. Moore was a hot name for the Browns early in the process this year before he eventually decided to return for another season at Oregon. Another year of polish to Moore’s game and he just might be the top quarterback in the 2027 draft class. Moore certainly would have brought more upside in the quarterback position than any quarterback, including Fernando Mendoza, in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Pass rushers are a premium position and the Browns have to keep on adding them, whether or not they’re going to move on from Myles Garrett down the road via trade. Oregon’s Uiagalelei has a chance to be a top-three EDGE in next year’s draft class with 16.5 sacks over the last two seasons. Uiagalelei is a big force at 6-foot-5, 272 pounds, and could be a building block kind of player for Cleveland’s defense in the future.
There’s a small chance Spencer Fano ends up a long-term guard for the Browns, though the plan is for him to be the left tackle currently. In Round 3, the Browns land a left tackle prospect who didn’t allow a sack in 2025 in over 700 snaps played. Hauck is the next offensive line prospect to talk about from Iowa.
