A former Ohio State basketball transfer has found his fourth college home in four seasons after latest portal news
The transfer portal was once again busy this spring for the Ohio State Buckeyes. While its died down, one former OSU basketball player has found a new home.
The college basketball transfer portal made for a wild couple of weeks in April and it’s still wrapping up with players finding new homes. For the Ohio State basketball program, they have seen their fair share of players going in and going out.
Ohio State was able to get California G Justin Pippen and he’ll be their most important portal commitment from this haul. Kentucky transfer F Andrija Jelavic and Duquesne G Jimmie Williams will have key roles for the Buckeyes.
With players still finding homes from the portal, one ex-Buckeye found what will be his last stop in college basketball.
Former Ohio State and Kentucky basketball transfer has found his fourth college stop
What a career it’s been for former five-star Kentucky recruit Aaron Bradshaw. Bradshaw spent the 2024-25 season at Ohio State following one season with the Wildcats. After transferring to Memphis a year ago, Bradshaw is now heading to Tennessee State to finish up his college basketball career.
Bradshaw was the No. 1 center and No. 5 overall player in the class of 2023. John Calipari recruited Bradshaw to Kentucky for a reason, but it never panned out for the 7-footer there after averaging 4.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game as a freshman. Bradshaw struggled with an injury at Ohio State, but was able to play 22 games. As a backup center, he averaged six points and 2.2 rebounds per game for the Buckeyes.
Jake Diebler has had several portal misses at Ohio State and Bradshaw was one of them. The Buckeyes took a chance on the lengthy big man, but it should have been a sign that he wasn’t going to work out in the Big Ten after not making it at Kentucky.
Bradshaw had his best season yet as a junior this past year with Memphis when he started 22 of the 29 games he played in. The Ohio State transfer averaged 8.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game with the Tigers.
Now finishing his career at Tennessee State, Bradshaw doesn’t have to go far and lands at a level he’ll be able to excel at. I wouldn’t be surprised if Bradshaw is a double-double guy on multiple occasions at his last college stop.
