Vols insider details if Tennessee is going to add any more basketball transfers after landing Juke Harris

Rick Barnes and the Tennessee Vols made one of the biggest splashes of the offseason by landing a commitment from Wake Forest Demon Deacons transfer guard Juke Harris.
Harris, 6-foot-7 from Salisbury, NC, averaged 21 points per game as a sophomore at Wake Forest last season.
Barnes and his staff have been terrific in the portal over the last month as Harris is the seventh transfer addition for Tennessee this offseason.
And the Vols aren’t done yet.
Tennessee is still looking for another big man
The Vols added some size in the transfer portal by landing 6-foot-10 forward Miles Rubin and 6-foot-9 forward Braeden Lue.
Tennessee, though, is still looking for another rim protector to fill the Vols’ final roster spot.
“I think right now you’re waiting to see what the visitor (2026 recruit Favour Ibe, who is 7-foot-1) from over the weekend does,” said VolQuest’s Brent Hubbs Tuesday on WNML’s SportsTalk. “What does he do? That sort feels like [that’s where] it is right now. And then after that, I don’t know.
“Maybe there’s an overseas option that pops up somewhere. Maybe there’s another high school option. Maybe there’s a junior college option that we haven’t uncovered yet at this point. But they’re going to [fill] that last spot, and it’s going to be a big of some kind… Tennessee has focused, obviously, a lot of their resources on different positions, but they want to add one more post to the roster.”
It’s pretty clear that Tennessee is determined to add another big man to the roster.
But whether that big man comes from the high school ranks or the transfer portal remains to be seen.
