The Miami Dolphins’ scouting efforts are getting an extra boost thanks to another new hire in the remodeled front office
There’s yet another hire with general manager experience joining the Miami Dolphins’ front office.
Miami Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan is at it again.
The Dolphins have steadily been turning over bits and pieces of their front office since the end of this year’s NFL Draft cycle. There have been additions such as Kyle Smith and Jon Robinson, subtractions in the form of Champ Kelly (and others), and more. Yet as the calendar nears June, the Dolphins are at it again. There’s another personnel man with former general manager experience joining the Dolphins’ scouting department under Sullivan.
Miami Dolphins reportedly set to hire Browns senior college personnel advisor Shaun Herock

CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz is reporting that the Dolphins are hiring Cleveland Browns senior college personnel advisor Shaun Herock. Herock marks yet another addition with general manager experience on his resume — Herock served as the Las Vegas Raiders interim general manager upon the dismissal of Reggie McKenzie back in 2018. Prior to that, he was the Raiders’ director of college scouting from 2012 to 2018.
But the real fine print on Herock’s addition to the Dolphins staff hails from the nearly two decades he spent with one team before joining the Raiders.
He served as the assistant director of college scouting for the Green Bay Packers from 1994 to 2011. The overlap with new Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan lasted over a decade — giving the two a presumed strong relationship as Sullivan looks to build out a staff capable of having the hard conversations. His role is yet to be determined in Miami. But Herock’s extensive resume lies predominantly on the college scouting side of things. And, as we saw during the 2026 NFL Draft, this Miami Dolphins build will have deep roots on the college side. Every bit of trusted input is (presumably) welcome.
