The LSU Tigers already have their next, potentially great, quarterback. That’s one of the benefits of having Lane Kiffin as the head coach. Peyton Houston, a four-star quarterback from Louisiana, is truly one of the most talented QBs in the country. If not for his size, he’d probably be a five-star.

Regardless, he was invited to one of the country’s more elite camps, the Elite 11, where only 11 quarterbacks are invited. He may have had the throw of the day on Day 2, too. However, it didn’t even count. He loaded up an absolute bomb downfield to his receiver, a 50-yard pass through the air. If not, it was certainly close. And he put it right in the “breadbasket” as the caption says. However, his receiver dropped it, wide open, in the air.

Regardless, Houston still had a pretty good day on Day 2 of the camp and actually had one of the best performances.

Peyton Houston was one of the best players at the Elite 11 Camp

“Peyton Houston showed his high level of polish and technical passing skill during his pro day workout. The accuracy and ability to locate his throws really stood out. Houston was at his best when targeting the intermediate area of the field, where he could throw with zip and locate. He had a great throw on a deep over route and also had a strong throw on a seam down the middle of the field.

“He impressed us with the ability to layer his throws, change speeds, and deliver well-located passes. While others had more flashy throws, Houston was steady and really settled in midway through his workout, not missing a throw down the back half of the script. In a workout that rewards consistency, Houston made his presence felt with just one miss during his outing,” Charles Power of Rivals wrote, as he ranked Houston having the second-best performance.

The Tigers love the talent that Houston brings. Getting to see what Kiffin could do with him is going to be special.
