2027 five-star running back David Gabriel Georges is a future star, and some of the top programs in the country — Tennessee, Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Georgia — are hoping to land him.

Ohio State and Tennessee are the “co-leaders” with Gabriel Georges coming off official visits to Columbus and Knoxville on back-to-back weekends.

But Ole Miss and Georgia will get their chance to impress the Quebec native when he takes official visits to Oxford and Athens over the next two weekends.

David Gabriel Georges’ family confirms one aspect of his recruitment that “won’t change”

247Sports’ Tom Loy reported last month that Gabriel Georges is planning to announce his commitment on July 22.

There’s been speculation, though, that Gabriel Georges could move his commitment date up if he makes a decision sooner than expected.

But that won’t be the case.

Gabriel Georges’ uncle, Jean Agenor, gave a wide-ranging interview to On3’s Steve Wiltfong this week that’s a must-read for anyone who’s keeping up with this recruiting battle.

And he said during the interview that the July 22 commitment date is locked in and won’t be changing.

“Agenor said the July 22 commitment date is locked in and won’t change,” wrote Wiltfong.

So basically, it sounds like we’re in the third quarter of this thing. Gabriel Georges is going to take the visits to Ole Miss and Georgia and then take some time to marinate on all of the pitches and make a decision.

Not to be cliche, but buckle up — one program is going to be really, really happy in about six weeks.
