It’s another key recruiting day for Ohio State football and a big weekend ahead. Ohio State has picked up a couple of June commitments during official visit season, and more could be on the way.

While the majority of Ohio State’s focus is on the 2027 class, the 2028 and even 2029 classes are getting some attention too. Ohio State has a huge visitor on campus at the end of this week with Buckeyes ties.

Marvin Harrison Jr.’s brother is in Columbus at Ohio State today

2028 St. Joseph’s Prep (PA) five-star WR Jett Harrison is on campus Thursday as the Buckeyes have a 7-on-7 camp. The elite wideout recruit is taking part in on-field activities and it gives Ohio State chance another evaluation opportunity with a player they’re very familiar with. As the brother of Harrison Jr. and son of Marvin Harrison Sr., the younger Harrison is catching plenty of attention as a recruit.

Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong dropped a prediction earlier this week for Harrison to end up picking the Buckeyes when he commits. Ohio State doesn’t have a wideout committed yet in the 2028 class and Harrison would certainly be the headliner if they get him. According to 247 Sports Composite, Harrison is the No. 2 wide receiver and No. 4 player in the class of 2028.

Brian Hartline is gone and of course, he’s the one who developed Harrison Jr. the most while at Ohio State. Now, Cortez Hankton is the wide receivers coach, and building a relationship with the Harrison’s is key in Columbus.

Ohio State is bringing in five-star WR Jamier Brown in the class of 2027. While he was committed before Hankton got to town, keeping him in the class and continuing to bring in elite pass catchers is crucial. Ohio State typically likes to bring in at least one elite wide receiver each class, and Harrison would give them that in 2028.

Harrison being on campus on Thursday is a big development shortly after some noise came about that he would be choosing to play in Columbus.
