Ohio State is blazing in flames on the recruiting trail right now and the good news just keeps pouring in.

The Buckeyes started the week with a 2027 commitment from five-star DL Marcus Fakatou. Now, the Buckeyes have added another five-star into the fold for the class of 2028.

Just a couple of weeks ago, 2028 St. Joseph’s Prep (PA) five-star WR Jett Harrison was predicted to commit to the Buckeyes, and now he has. Harrison chose the Buckeyes over Oregon and Miami. Harrison was in Columbus just recently and now he’s set to be a Buckeye.

Jett Harrison says he’s better than Marvin Harrison Jr. at this age

The Buckeyes were always the favorite for the younger brother of former Ohio State star Marvin Harrison Jr. The older brother put up back-to-back 1,200 receiving yard seasons in Columbus before being the No. 4 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Now, the younger brother has chosen to play at Ohio State and could go down the same path.

“I think I’m better than him at this age,” Harrison said of his older brother via Rivals recently. “I’m more developed. He had his strengths, I have mine, and we are similar, but different, but at this age, going into my junior year, I would say I am ahead.”

This recruitment is a key win for Ohio State wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton with it being his second commitment in Columbus and first five-star. Adding Harrison into the mix for 2028 ensures the Buckeyes will bring in another elite recruit at the position just one cycle after they do it with Jamier Brown.

According to 247 Sports Composite, the 6-foot-1, 175-pound wideout is the No. 4 overall player in 2028, and No. 2 wide receiver. An elite talent that’ll have a chance to play in Columbus right away.

Ohio State continues to land big-time recruits at wide receiver without Brian Hartline, which is bad news for the rest of college football.
