The wait will soon be over for fans of both the Tennessee Vols and Ohio State Buckeyes in their pursuit of one of the biggest playmakers to come out of the state of Tennessee in years in Chattanooga Baylor RB David Gabriel Georges. And, for accuracy, Ole Miss fans are also potentially still interested as well, although this has the feeling of a two-team race.

Gabriel Georges has had July 22 circled as the date he would make his announcement, and now fans know exactly when that will come and where they can watch it.

He will announce his college choice on July 22 at 5:30 pm ET live on the CBS Sports College Football YouTube channel and CBS Sports HQ.

Gabriel Georges’ recruitment has been at the center of the college football recruiting universe for the past few months. He made official visits to all three schools over the summer.

Speculation as to NIL offers have been wild, but it is believed he will receive the highest NIL offer ever made to a high school running back, somewhere between $1-2 million per year, depending on which offer he ends up taking.

The battle likely won’t be over, even after Gabriel Georges announces his college commitment on July 22, but at least that will be a moment where the wondering and speculation will stop, and fans can move on to something else. Such as the upcoming 2026 college football season.
