Former Tennessee Vols RHP Tegan Kuhns’ bank account got much larger this week.

Kuhns, a draft eligible sophomore, was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals with the No. 32 overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft.

Baseball America’s Carlos Collazo reported on Friday morning that St. Louis signed Kuhns for $3,044,600, which is the slot value for the No. 32 pick.

Kuhns boosted his draft stock this past season after pitching to a 3.56 ERA with 106 strikeouts in 89 innings.

His best outing of the year came against Texas when he struck out 15 batters while allowing no runs in seven innings.

Kuhns was named the SEC pitcher of the week after his stellar outing against the Longhorns.
