Famous actor joins heartwarming Tennessee Vols trend seven years after it first went viral
An Academy Award-nominated actor has joined one of the coolest Tennessee Vols trends we’ve seen….seven years after it initially went viral.
In one of the oddest stories of the week, Academy Award-nominated actor Alec Baldwin has joined a Tennessee Vols trend…seven years after it initially went viral.
Most Vols fans probably remember the story of an elementary student in Florida who was bullied over his makeshift Tennessee shirt in 2019.
The Vol Shop made shirts and ended up raising over $950,000 for STOMP Out Bullying.
Earlier this week, Baldwin posted on Instagram that he got his shirt this week.
“Many of you already know the story of the kid who designed his own University of Tennessee T-shirt for his school’s college colors day,” wrote Baldwin. “He got bullied for drawing on paper and attaching it to the shirt. So the Vols made his shirt for purchase. Got mine today. I will wear it in solidarity and with pride.”
Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome that Baldwin is showing support for a great cause. But I am truly curious at how this popped up on his radar seven years after it went viral.
