There’s officially a new man in charge of the Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins are officially taking on a changing of the guard.
The Miami Dolphins have made official a change that’s been brewing since last fall. When the Miami Dolphins were mired in the struggles of the 2025 season, reports emerged that the future of the team lies in the hands of owner Stephen Ross’ family — with one individual in particular taking on the major role.
Ross’ daughters will take ownership of the team when the time comes. And one of Ross’ most trusted business associates, who just so happens to be his son-in-law, along with them. The organization announced today that Danny Sillman, the man in question is taking over control of the football operation and claiming a higher role within the team.

The move comes with a transition of titles for former team CEO Tom Garfinkel, who will remain with the Dolphins as a Vice Chairman of the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium. Garfinkel has been with the organization for 13 seasons in a major leadership role.
This move is an official domino that stabilizes the future of the Miami Dolphins’ football group. The report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter highlights that all three members of the Dolphins’ hierarchy now report directly to Sillman. That includes head coach Jeff Hafley, general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan, and Executive vice president of football operations Brandon Shore.
In essence? He’s in charge. It became apparent just how much influence Sillman was taking when the general manager and head coach interviews included Sillman as a staple of the search. And now, he’s officially got the title to back it up, too.
