The Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp stock watch continues. We’ve already talked about the players who have seen their stock go up, so naturally we’ve got to reverse course and talk about the ones who have seen their stock go down.

There’s a lot that goes into this, whether it’s factors of health, overall poor play, or a lack of development. There’s plenty of reasons why these guys make the list, and we’ll dissect each one.

1. TE Devin Culp

The 2025 season was a disappointing year for Devin Culp. A lot of people expected him to take a solid step forward and become a viable part of the Buccaneers’ passing attack. That doesn’t mean they were expecting him to go off for 50 catches, 500 yards, and several touchdown receptions or anything like that, but there was an expectation that Culp could come in during certain situations and use his athleticism, his speed, and his ability after the catch to make some plays.

That never came to fruition, however, and it put him firmly under the microscope heading into 2026. So far, he’s yet to make an impact. In fact, the biggest impact he’s made has been net-negative plays, per reports. With Bauer Sharp now in the mix and Ko Kieft back and healthy, Tampa Bay isn’t going to carry more than four tight ends on this roster. Given Kieft’s special teams ability and the production he provides there, Culp is definitely on the outside looking in right now.

He’s one of the cut candidates, if you will, after just one week of training camp.

2. CB Benjamin Morrison

Morrison easily has seen his stock go down, and that’s simply because he just hasn’t been healthy. Just like last year, he’s dealing with hamstring injuries. Even though it’s not the same hamstring that affected him last year, that might even be more cause for concern considering the other one isn’t holding up, either.

Regardless, Morrison has been passed on the depth chart, whether it’s temporary or not, because he just can’t be on the field in a full capacity. He has returned to practice, but he has yet to log a full practice, whether it’s because the Buccaneers had to go inside due to bad weather, maintenance days, or the Bucs simply playing it slow. The point stands: Morrison hasn’t been on the field enough for him to even stay in the gray area.

3. WR Garrett Greene

Greene had a really poor practice on Tuesday night. Pewter Report stated, he dropped not one, not two, but three passes. That is not good for a former undrafted free agent trying to make a name for himself on this roster.

The Buccaneers pretty much have their top five wide receivers set, and the sixth spot is likely going to Kam Johnson because of his special teams ability. So, when including Johnson, Green is in a fight for roughly one spot with five other receivers. That basically means he needs to stand out every single practice, and he’s yet to do that.

4. S J.J. Roberts

Roberts is like Morrison. He just hasn’t been on the practice field enough due to injury. This is speculation on my end, but his delayed recovery from last year’s knee injury is probably what prompted the Buccaneers to sign safety Ifeatu Melifonwu.

It’s unfortunate for Roberts because even general manager Jason Licht tabbed him as a guy to watch a few months ago when he spoke with the media, and it just hasn’t happened for him. Granted, he’s coming off a significant knee injury, so you’ve got to give him time to settle back in. But at this point, he just hasn’t been around enough for him to even stay in that gray middle area. Instead, his stock has gone down.
