The Minnesota Vikings are set to take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon, and it’s primed to be a great game.

The betting lines have the Vikings as 1.5-point favorites, and it likely should be larger. The reason why it isn’t is very simple: nobody knows what Kyler Murray is going to look like. There are a lot of interesting elements at play with the Vikings offensively and defensively.

One interesting thing is the injuries. The Vikings are pretty healthy, whereas the Packers aren’t. The latest injury report highlights just that.

OT Caleb TiernanAnkleLimited/Limited

Observations

  • This is about as good as it’ll get for the Vikings this season. Only three players on the injury report is great, especially when none of them were likely to play on either offense or defense for more than a few snaps.
  • The illness designation for Jakobe Thomas already showed improvement with him being limited on Thursday.
  • It’s notable that J.J. McCarthy is not on the injury report after missing the final preseason game against the Denver Broncos with an ankle injury.

Observations

  • Bako-Bewele has made it clear that he’s going to play on Sunday. That will be huge, as he’s the best offensive lineman on the team.
  • Both Wyatt and Hargrave being limited for a second-consecutive day is noteworthy.
