The top show in town this week for the 2027 NFL Draft class is in Austin, Texas. The Ohio State Buckeyes and Texas Longhorns face off in a matchup that boasts double-digit NFL Draft prospects. For the Miami Dolphins, there’s plenty of window shopping to be done ahead of next offseason.

General manager Jon-Eric Sullivan will be present and accounted for, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel. And, interestingly enough, he’s the only reported general manager set to be in attendance. Plenty of other NFL scouts will be present. But Sully is the only top dog in the building. This is a high-profile quarterback matchup between Arch Manning and Julian Sayin. But Dolphins fans should absolutely not make any assumptions on the main attraction for Miami’s scouting effort.

Miami Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan is the only GM in-house for star-studded 2027 NFL Draft showcase

You may not find a better wide receiver showcase this season. Everyone knows about Ohio State mega-star Jeremiah Smith. He’s a ‘create-a-player’ weapon. But Texas as their own first-round caliber star in Cam Coleman, a transfer from Auburn who may end up as a top-15 draft choice of his own when it is all said and done. But if the Dolphins aren’t keen on drafting wide receiver at the top of the draft, there’s several others in this game to know.

Texas also boasts WR Ryan Wingo and Ohio State has transfer WR Devin McCuin and senior WR Brandon Inniss. It’s a great group of future NFL receivers on display. And lest we forget…Jon-Eric Sullivan’s family roots tie back to wide receivers.

This game also has several other strong first-round candidates in Texas OT Trevor Goosby and Texas EDGE Colin Simmons. Ohio State EDGE Kenyatta Jackson Jr. and OL Austin Siereveld are projected Day 2 talents. Jon-Eric Sullivan will be the only NFL general manager in-house to take it all in. And there’s a lot to see.
