Below is Cincinnati’s first injury report of the week.
Bengals’ Wednesday injury report for Week 4
| Player | Injury | W/T/F | Designation |
| S Jordan Battle | Hamstring | Limited | – |
| S Bryan Cook | Ankle | Limited | – |
| S Kyle Dugger | Quadriceps | DNP | – |
| DT B.J. Hil | Achilles | DNP | – |
| G Dalton Risner | Knee | DNP | – |
| WR Colbie Young | Knee | DNP | – |
Plenty of starters are listed on the first injury report of the week. Safeties Jordan Battle (hamstring) and Bryan Cook (ankle) were limited Wednesday. Coach Zac Taylor told reporters before practice Cook would be getting veteran maintenance along with backup Kyle Dugger (quadriceps), who did not practice at all Wednesday.
Cook was seen working on the rehab field at the start of practice, so he must’ve gotten some work in with the team later on. That’s relatively positive news for his prospects of playing Sunday. Taylor said it will be a day-by-day situation with all three of Cincy’s top safeties.
Defensive tackle B.J. Hill (achilles) was seen stretching with the team, but did not actually practice. He’s missed the last two games with his injury, though he may be close to returning depending on how much he practices, if at all, Thursday and Friday.
The big surprise here is right guard Dalton Risner (knee), who did not practice Wednesday. Jalen Rivers took his reps for the day. This may also be veteran maintenance for the 31-year-old starter, but if not, his status will be one to monitor this week. Risner was responsible for the pressure that turned into the only sack Joe Burrow took last week, and it resulted in the game-losing fumble for the Bengals. He was near-perfect outside of that rep, and has been solid this season in pass protection.
Wide receiver Colbie Young (knee) is not expected to practice at all this week. Taylor ruled him out from playing Sunday after he suffered his knee injury during Week 3’s loss.
