‘My God, I’m gonna throw up in the press box’ – Arkansas defensive coordinator is going to be sick if Tennessee accomplishes one specific thing on Saturday
The Tennessee Volunteers will travel to Fayetteville this weekend for a matchup against the Arkansas Razorbacks.
If the Tennessee Vols rush for more than 200 yards against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday, the press box at Razorback Stadium might need a cleaning crew.
Tennessee has won 31 games in a row when rushing for more than 200 yards, and the Vols are expected to lean heavily on the run against Arkansas.
Razorbacks defensive coordinator Ron Roberts, though, is going to be sick if Tennessee accomplishes that goal on Saturday.
“My God, I’m gonna throw up in the press box if they rush for 200 (yards),” said Roberts on Tuesday. “… Whether he (UT head coach Josh Heupel) is gonna make it a spread ball game and throw it, I don’t know. Or is he going to make it 12 personnel and try to punch us in the face? He’s got a really good defense. I get it. And that very well could be his plan. If it is, let’s go slug it out. I think it’s the strength of our defense.”
Arkansas has played two SEC games so far this season. They allowed 254 rushing yards in a loss to Georgia and 231 rushing yards in a loss to Texas A&M. The Razorbacks also allowed 140 rushing yards in a loss to Utah.
Based on those results, it’s not looking good for the press box in Fayetteville.
