The headliners of Wednesday’s lengthy injury report are wide receivers, Ja’Marr Chase (concussion) and Tee Higgins (groin/neck). Chase is going through the concussion protocol and will not play without getting a full practice under his belt. He may pop up as limited tomorrow. As for Higgins, coach Zac Taylor told reporters prior to practice that the 27-year-old would be limited. He instead did not practice, and was listed with a neck injury along with his known groin strain. Both players are still considered day-to-day, but specifically with Higgins, it was a disappointing development for him to not practice and be listed with an additional injury.
Safeties Bryan Cook (ankle) and Kyle Dugger (quadricep) did not practice, as expected. Cook is going to get rest up until the end of the week where he has a chance of playing. It is not expected for Doug to practice at all this week.
Linebacker Barrett Carter (ankle) and defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence II (wrist) are surprise additions to the injury report. They were each limited with previously unknown ailments.
On a positive note, DT B.J. Hill (achilles) was a full participant for the first time in three weeks, and WR Colbie Young (knee) was limited after missing all of last week. Hill is on track to return Sunday, and now Young seems to have a chance as well.

Only Beal and Douglas of that group did not practice. CB Taylor Reese (quadricep) and LB Jackson Woodard (ankle) joined them as DNPs.
