Tom Brady played 20 seasons with the New England Patriots and won six Super Bowls in Foxborough. Since retiring in 2022, the greatest quarterback of all time has stayed busy. Beyond his role as a color commentator for Fox, Brady’s CardVault Breaks has teamed up with Fanatics Live for a new card-collecting event, adding another venture to the list of things he has taken on off the field.

The event is called “The Great QB Chase.” It features the seven-time Super Bowl champion (six with the Patriots, one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) hunting for his own rookie card by opening a 2000 Bowman Chrome box.

The box contains 24 packs and is valued at over $10,000, making it a valuable piece for football fans and collectors. The Patriots selected Brady in the sixth round of the 2000 draft.

Why Patriots fans should pay attention

The livestream is set for 3:00 p.m. (ET) on Monday, Nov. 2. Fans can bid on each of the 2000 Bowman Chrome packs, with bids starting at $1. Spots are auctioned one by one in real time. Each spot gives you a team or player. When all spots are taken, the break begins. The breaker will rip packs live on stream. Cards are revealed one by one, with suspense around rare hits or chase cards. Any cards tied to your spot are yours. After the final pack is opened, cards will be sorted, packaged, and shipped to buyers.

The rookie card hunt goes beyond Brady, though. The event will also open boxes of 2001, 2004, 2005, and 2024 products to chase other quarterback rookie hits. That list includes Drew Brees, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, Jordan Love, Justin Herbert, Fernando Mendoza, Jaxson Dart, and several others. Bids for this break start at $225.

The event will also give away $10,000 worth of memorabilia. To enter giveaways using the built-in chat feature, you will need a Fanatics One account.

The reveal centers on Brady’s CardVault breaks.

“CardVault by Tom Brady is the premier destination for sports cards, TCG, collectibles, and memorabilia. Founded in partnership with seven-time Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady, CardVault combines the excitement of collecting with an elevated retail experience for hobbyists and fans alike.”

This event hits different for New England Patriots fans

This event carries a different weight for New England fans. Drake Maye has been a fantastic quarterback for the Patriots, and the franchise has a clear path forward at the position. Nonetheless, Brady remains unforgettable in New England as the franchise’s greatest player, and the fan base still misses the era he defined.

Patriots fans may also have an opportunity to submit questions for Brady to answer during the livestream. Collectors can snag high-end rookie cards from a long list of quarterbacks, including current starters and recent draft classes. Patriots fans can revisit the franchise’s most successful era with the player who built it.

For fans who want to take part, the livestream starts at 3:00 p.m. (ET) on Monday, Nov. 2. Whether through a $1 pack bid or a question about the dynasty years, the event offers a chance to go down memory lane with Brady and revisit the Patriots era that set the standard for the entire league.
