Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen is as tough as quarterbacks come in the NFL. At six-foot-five and a few wings away from 240 pounds, Allen can handle his own in just about any situation.

In Sunday’s tightly contested Wild Card win over Miami, Allen was involved in a skirmish with Dolphins DT Christian Wilkins. In an attempt to throw Allen off his game, Wilkins gave the Bills’ superstar a little extra after the play.

Allen, who won’t back down from anybody, got physical with Wilkins before his center, Mitch Morse, stepped in. Morse escalated the altercation, taking Wilkins to the ground, along with a few extra bystanders.

It’s an offensive line’s duty to protect the quarterback, but Morse went above and beyond the call of duty for Allen. After the game, Morse offered his perspective on the kerfuffle.

“In the moment you kinda lose consciousness for a little bit,” Morse told reporters. “That’s your guy, that’s your quarterback, you just want to be there for him. It escalated, as you saw, but I’m not gonna make it too big of a thing.”

Morse would go on to say that he admires Wilkins’ competitive nature, essentially squashing the beef.

Morse’s actions did not go unappreciated by Allen. When asked about his side of the story, Allen said of Morse, “I love him.”

This Bills team has a unique bond. It’s something that Buffalo has relied upon recently, especially after Damar Hamlin’s scary injury situation. Fighting for each other during, and sometimes a little after, each play is what makes the Bills one of the most feared teams in football.
