CHICAGO – The Bears offensive line is arguably the biggest question entering 2022 and things became even more opaque in regard to who fills the void(s) up front.

That’s because the Bears placed veteran offensive guard Dakota Dozier on injured reserve after he was injured during mandatory minicamp. Dozier was carted off the field with what looked to be a leg injury. He is expected to miss the entire 2022 season.

Dozier was practicing with the second team when he was injured, but he also received reps at right guard in prior practices/workouts. The Bears offensive line is in flux right now and Dozier was a candidate to win a starting position. The former Viking signed a one-year deal with the Bears back in March.

Chicago signed defensive back Jayson Stanley in a corresponding move. Stanley is an undrafted free agent that appeared in eight games for the Seahawks back in 2020 as a special teams player, primarily.
