Some huge news just dropped ahead of the Detroit Lions Week 1 game against the Chiefs. Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce has injured his knee during practice and his statis for Thursday nights game is now up in the air.
Needless to say, this would give the Lions quite an advantage in this game. The Chiefs are already missing their Pro Bowl defensive tackle Chris Jones due to a hold out. Losing their top pass catching threat would be even bigger.
There's still one more day before the Lions and Chiefs meet up. Maybe the Chiefs will be able to get Kelce back for this game. There's also the chance that they decide to rest him in Week 1 on favor of having him healthy for the long run of the season.
We'll have more updates on this huge news and they come in.
