The Detroit Lions are about to play their second game of the preseason at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars. But just who will play in this game? Dan Campbell announced on Stoney and Jansen on Thursday that the Lions will be sitting most of their starters and some rookies on Saturday. Now we know that some of the rookies will actually be playing.
Jahmyr Gibbs, Jack Campbell and Sam LaPorta are all suited up and ready to go. Not listed in this tweet, but Brian Branch is also suited up and ready to play. As to how much they will actually play is not know yet. I wouldn't expect too much from any of them Saturday. Probably just one drive each.
As for other notable players suited up, Romeo Okwara is out there after missing Thursday's practice. He should see a lot more time today than any of the rookies we listed up top.
