As a result of the controversial AJ Brown trade, the Tennessee Titans have the No. 35 overall pick in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
That means Titans fans won't have to wait long to see Tennessee pick on Friday night.
Tennessee didn't receive the No. 35 pick from the Philadelphia Eagles in the deal for Brown. The Titans traded the No. 26 overall pick, which became expendable after selecting Treylon Burks with the No. 18 overall pick (receiving in the Brown deal), to the New York Jets for a second-round pick (No. 35) and the No. 69 and No. 163 picks (Tennessee also sent the No. 101 pick to the Jets).
So who are the Titans going to take with their second-round pick, which is almost equivalent to a first-round pick?
247Sports thinks it will be a quarterback, but maybe not the quarterback most folks expect.
They have the Titans selecting Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral at No. 35.

The Titans shocked their fans by trading away A.J. Brown on Thursday night, so they might as well keep the changes coming. Tennessee still needs a quarterback and Matt Corral is a great fit to take over for Ryan Tannehill, who is obviously not the answer for the Titans. Corral might need a little time but now is a great time to get a quarterback that won’t cripple your franchise if you miss. Cincinnati’s Desmond Ridder or UNC’s Sam Howell could go here as well as Pickett was the only quarterback to go Round 1.
It wouldn't be a shock to see the Titans select a quarterback in the second round, but it would be surprising if it's Corral — especially with other quarterbacks on the board like Malik Willis and Desmond Ridder (Ridder has been the quarterback most often connected to the Titans in recent days).
Corral feels like a player that should go later in the draft. He was good at Ole Miss, but he wasn't necessarily "special". Considering the Titans would be looking for their future starting quarterback with this pick, it needs to be a player that brings something special to the field. Willis would fit the bill, thanks to his elite arm strength and athleticism, but he's still a developmental project.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Minnesota Vikings will pick before the Titans on Friday night. Neither team is expected to select a quarterback, though they could trade their picks to a team hoping to grab a quarterback in front of the Titans.
