The Tennessee Vols are one of three teams still in the mix to land one of the nation’s top-rated 2022 offensive linemen.
Four-star interior offensive lineman Addison Nichols revealed his top three schools on Wednesday. He included Tennessee, along with North Carolina and Ohio State.
“This was an incredibly difficult decision narrowing this down. I just want to say thank you to all of the schools who weren’t selected and thank you for your interest in me,” said Nichols in a tweet.

Nichols, 6-foot-5/318 lbs from Norcross, GA (Greater Atlanta Christian School), is ranked in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 3 interior offensive lineman in the nation and the No. 12 player in the state of Georgia.
The four-star recruit took an official visit to Tennessee in mid-June. He also visited Ohio State and North Carolina last month.
Nichols recently spoke to 247Sports about his recruitment and he explained what he likes about the Vols.
“Tennessee it’s definitely a gamble but I think they can do very well in the SEC,” said Nichols. “I think they’re a program that is definitely really good for an offensive lineman and makes your job easier when the d-line can’t even get out of their stance.”
“I really like the way they’re really trying to turn around that program,” added Nichols. “There was a lot of stuff internally we talked about that came from the old staff and the short time they’ve been there they’ve really turned it around more than you can imagine.”
Nichols isn’t sure when he’ll announce his commitment.
