Wallen grew up in East Tennessee and his blood runs orange as a result.
The multi-platinum singer is often seen at Tennessee athletics events cheering for the Vols.
Wallen, for example, was in Omaha in 2024 for Tennessee’s College World Series run.
Wallen’s Tennessee fandom isn’t for show — it’s genuine.
Which is why some Vols fans are a little nervous about what Wallen will be wearing this weekend thanks to a recent social media post.
Alabama football teases jersey with Morgan Wallen’s name on it
Wallen is scheduled to play a concert at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa on Saturday (April 18).
Earlier this week, the official Alabama football Twitter account promoted the concert with a photo of a Bama jersey with Wallen’s name on it.
Naturally, Vols fans are concerned that Wallen is going to wear that jersey at some point during the concert in Tuscaloosa.
And hey, if he does, he does. Wallen is an entertainer at the end of the day. And there are a LOT of Alabama fans who are also Morgan Wallen fans. Pandering to those fans is just business.
But still, Vols fans are uneasy about the idea of one of the biggest Tennessee fans on the planet wearing an Alabama jersey.
I guess we’ll see on Saturday night if Wallen is going to bite the bullet and wear the jersey or stay true to his Tennessee fandom.
