Important Tennessee Vols in-state recruiting target visits big time SEC program

One of the Tennessee Vols’ most important 2027 recruiting targets took a visit to another big time SEC program this past weekend.
The Vols are viewed as one of the favorites to land 2027 five-star wide receiver Kesean Bowman, who was previously committed to the Oregon Ducks (Bowman decommitted from Oregon in September).
Bowman, 6-foot-1/174 lbs from Brentwood, TN, visited Tennessee twice in September. The talented wide receiver was in Baton Rouge this past weekend for the LSU Tigers’ game against the South Carolina Gamecocks.
“LSU was a great visit,” said Bowman to On3. “The atmosphere was crazy, the fans, the energy, everything felt great….Overall, LSU definitely showed why they will be one of my top schools.”
Bowman is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 5 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 2 player in the state of Tennessee. He’s also rated as the No. 32 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class.
Former Vols linebacker Kevin Simon said last month that Kesean Bowman has orange in his sights
Former Vols linebacker Kevin Simon said last month on 99.1 The Sports Animal that Bowman has “orange in his sights”.
Simon has unique insight into Bowman’s recruitment due to the fact that his son, Kenneth Simon, is teammates with Bowman at Brentwood Academy.
“I think some good things are going to happen in Tennessee,” said Simon. “I know Kesean Bowman, who’s committed to Oregon, you know, he’s starting to feel a little different. He’s starting to feel the love from Tennessee. So, we’ll see…..He’s got orange in his sights.”
Ole Miss and Ohio State are also in the mix to land Bowman.
