Don’t you dare disrespect Tennessee Volunteers legend Jauan Jennings.

Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jauan Jennings spent the first six seasons of his career with the San Francisco 49ers before signing with the Minnesota Vikings this past offseason.

Jennings wanted to return to San Francisco, but the 49ers didn’t want to pay him what the former Vol believed he was worth.

Back in late April, I suggested that San Francisco “insulted” him with the way they essentially replaced him in the 2026 NFL Draft with Ole Miss wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling.

“I think everyone knows how good of a blocker Jauan was, or is, and how big he’s been for us in that way,” said 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan in April while discussing Stribling. “So we have a hole without that, and this guy definitely could fill that…I really fell in love with him as a route runner, how fast he is, how big, how good his hands are, how physical he played.”

Well, Jennings apparently felt the same way I did (Stribling, by the way, is on IR and has recorded no stats this season).

According to Jay Glazer, the 49ers recently had a deal in place with the Vikings to bring Jennings back to San Francisco.

Jennings, however, made it clear that he didn’t want to go back to the 49ers.

According to Glazer, Jennings refused to get on a FaceTime call with Shanahan and general manager John Lynch.

I’m not surprised at all that Jennings refused to go back. He’s always been the type to “make it personal.”

By the way, the Vikings play the 49ers on November 22 in Mexico City. A Jauan Jennings revenge game could be in the works.
