Florida Gators head coach Dan Mullen is the most awkward coach in the SEC and it's not particularly close.
Mullen is having a rough week and his press conference on Monday didn't make things any better.
The fourth-year Gators head coach met with media members on Monday to recap Florida's stunning 20-13 loss to the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington on Saturday night.
The whole press conference was terribly uncomfortable. Mullen's demeanor, in general, is awkward.
Monday's press conference, however, provided more awkward moments than usual.
The highlight was when Mullen was asked about his huge grin while leaving the field just moments after losing to Kentucky.
Mullen couldn't give an answer for his Cheshire cat-like grin. Instead, he clumsily rambled about everything going through his mind while running off the field.
The best part of the whole exchange may have been when the reporter said "it could be worse, you could be Urban" after Mullen's inept answer.
That's of course a reference to former Gators head coach Urban Meyer, who is currently embroiled in an off-field "scandal" that involves a woman who wasn't his wife dancing on him at a bar.
