The New Orleans Saints hosted veteran center Billy Price earlier this week as they looked to add depth to the interior of their offensive line.
The meeting went well, in fact, it went perfectly. On Thursday, the Saints signed to former first-round pick.
Price played for the Cincinnati Bengals for three seasons and then had stints with the New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders (never played a down for them), and the Arizona Cardinals.
In 69 career games, Price has logged 45 starts (26 over the last two seasons) and nearly 3,100 snaps. The Saints are covering their bases when it comes to starting center Erik McCoy who has missed nine games in the last two years.
With Derek Carr set to begin a new era at quarterback in New Orleans the organization is making sure he has as much protection as possible.
