Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin's tremendous story continued on Saturday as he returned to game action for the first time since last January when he suffered a cardiac arrest on Monday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The fact that Hamlin was able to return to the field seven months after collapsing on the field in Cincinnati is amazing in its own right.
Hamlin, however, wasn't just running out there to be seen — he showed up to make some plays.
And that's exactly what did against the Indianapolis Colts, helping force a turnover on downs in the first quarter.
Before the game, Hamlin shared a moment with his teammate, wide receiver Stefon Diggs. The two shared an on-field hug before the game kicked off.
After the game, Hamlin shared the video of the two hugging, writing "My brother was the first one to come see me at my lowest…love you forever 14".
Preseason NFL games don't often provide a lot of tearjerker moments, but seeing Hamlin return to the field was certainly one of those rare instances.
