Predicting which Chicago Bears players will land on the NFL’s Top-100 and how high on the list they should be as voted by their peers
The NFL’s Top-100 list will be released on Monday, June 22 and multiple members of the Chicago Bears roster are expected to be among the top players in the league, but how high will they actually rank? Let’s predict it.
The NFL will start unveiling this year’s edition of the Top-100 players on Monday, June 22 and multiple Chicago Bears players are expected to be included within the list this time around after being shut out last year.
The NFL’s Top-100 voting honestly carries more weight than some of the other honors handed out in the NFL because the list is made by active NFL players, not by the fans or the media. However, there’s still some subjectiveness to it with players wanting to prop themselves, or teammates up, on their ballots.
For the Bears, I’m predicting four players will make the crack in the Top-100. Let’s break them down and give the official ranking for where I see them landing on the list.
TE Colston Loveland – #85
The highest-ranked rookie tight end in the history of the NFL’s Top-100 was Brock Bowers, who claimed the 24th spot following a record-breaking year. Chicago’s rookie tight end Colston Loveland had a strong first season, but it wasn’t close in comparison to Bowers rookie season the year before.
Even still, Loveland proved to be one of the top players at his position and can benefit from the injury suffered by George Kittle and the regression year by Travis Kelce to pump his stock. I would be shock if Loveland is left off the list and see him landing somewhere in the 80’s based on what he showed last season.
The 85th spot sounds like a nice number and is worthy for what he accomplished both as a primary pass catcher for Chicago’s offense and his work as a blocker. By next season, Loveland has the capabilities of being a Top-50 player easily as long as he stays healthy.
QB Caleb Williams – #53
After missing the cut his rookie season, while watching fellow 2024 first-round quarterback Jayden Daniels land inside the Top-25, Caleb Williams will land somewhere within the Top-100 this time around. Granted, I don’t believe he will be nearly as high as Daniels was the season before.
There’s a lot of controversy about where Williams should be ranked among quarterbacks, much less every player, in the NFL. But, it’s no secret that players viewed him as a legit threat last season as evident by first-hand reactions from his opponents.
Yet, Williams still hasn’t proven enough to warrant a Top-50 spot, in my eyes at least. Landing at say #53 sounds fair for the totality of work Williams showed during the 2025-26 season. However, I could see some of his peers pushing him further up the list based on his heroic plays.
RT Darnell Wright – #31
Last season, only five offensive tackles cracked into the Top-50 on the list in Penei Sewell (13), Lane Johnson (23), Tristan Wirfs (28), Dion Dawkins (42), and Trent Williams (45). I see Darnell Wright landing in that group after his first career second-team All-Pro season.
Wright was a menace on the field while playing with basically one elbow. The Bears offense literally ran behind this guy and he was a much more consistent pass protector compared to his first two seasons.
I believe the players will have more respect for Wright after this season. I see him cracking the Top-50 in his first Top-100 appearance, landing at #31 or at least somewhere in the early 30s.
LG Joe Thuney – #12
It’s insane to me that Joe Thuney has NEVER been ranked in the NFL’s Top-100. We’re talking about a player that’s been named to four Pro Bowls and three first-team All-Pro honors. The disrespect needs to come to an end for one of the most consistent players in the game.
The real driving point that will open eyes this year is the fact that Thuney was named as the NFL’s first ever Protector of the Year. He is absolutely the best player on this team and one of the top players in the league. He deserves to be recognized like it.
I’m going bold and saying that Thuney will be the highest-ranked offensive lineman at #12, one spot ahead of where Sewell was ranked last season as the top offensive lineman.
