Observations

  • Chase Brown (illness), who’s 53 yards shy of 1,000 on the ground this season, finally practiced this week after missing the first two days. He’s good to go for Sunday for his first full 17-game season as a starter.
  • Joseph Ossai (ankle) will not be out there. He’ll miss his third straight game to end the season. Ossai has played 14 games (nine starts) and racked up five sacks on the year match his total from 2024. He needed six to trigger a $250,000 incentive in his one-year contract, and will not get the chance to earn it. He may’ve played his last snap in Cincinnati.
  • Charlie Jones (ankle), and Josh Newton (hamstring) are also out for Sunday. Jones hasn’t practiced since Week 15, and Newton missed practice all week after popping up on last Friday’s injury report. Both of their 2025 seasons are finished.
  • Matt Lee (knee) was a full participant in practice for the first time since being cleared last week, but he will not be activated off the Reserve/Injured list and play Sunday.
  • B.J. Hill (ankle) is listed as questionable along with Cam Grandy (chest). Hill is likely to play despite minimal practice time, but Grandy could be a game-time decision.

Observations

  • Myles Garrett (hip), just one sack away from setting the NFL single-season record, was limited again in Friday’s practice but will play Sunday. Garrett has sacked Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow 11.5 times in his career. No other player has sacked Burrow more than 5.5. times.
  • Harold Fannin Jr. (groin) and Carson Schwesinger (quadricep/ankle) missed practice all week and neither will play the final week of their rookie seasons. Fannin exited Week 17 first in receptions (72) and second in receiving yards (731) among rookie tight ends. Schwesinger led all rookie linebackers in defensive stops (54) through Week 17. Both players were named alternates for the 2026 Pro Bowl Games.
  • David Njoku (knee), and Winston Reid (back) will also miss Sunday’s game. Njoku hasn’t played since Week 14, and Reid is still on I.R.
