Andrei Iosivas was selected No. 206 overall in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Bengals. Prior to the NFL, Iosivas played three seasons at Princeton (along with one year of junior varsity) and was also a three-time Ivy League track and field champion in the heptathlon. His best season was his last in 2022 when he racked up 66 receptions for 943 yards and seven touchdowns.

Cincinnati gave Iosivas a real chance to make the team as a rookie and he stepped up to the challenge. He even made actual contributions as a rookie, catching four touchdowns in 2023. The Bengals tasked him with developing as Tyler Boyd’s replacement in the slot in 2024 and he posted 36 receptions for 479 yards and six touchdowns. He maintained that role in 2025, though his production stagnated and his tape was lackluster at times. Quarterback issues while Joe Burrow was hurt didn’t help, but last year was a relatively disappointing season for the former Ivy Leaguer.

Contract details

Iosivas is entering the last year of his four-year, $3,999,392 rookie contract. The deal has essentially ballooned to a total value of $6,528,392 as his 2026 base salary increased to $3,674,000 from $1,145,000 as he qualified for a Level-One Proven Performance Escalator (PPE) as a non-first-rounder who’s played a lot of football after three years. His base salary is also the amount of cash he will earn this season. When adding his signing bonus proration of $39,848, his salary cap hit for the year is $3,713,848.

Roster outlook

To go from sixth-round pick to multi-year starter is no small task. Iosivas has grown over the last three years, but the Bengals want to see even more. He needs to keep developing as a complete receiver who creates quicker separation and wins more in contested catch situations.

If he doesn’t, Iosivas’ future is likely somewhere else. Cincinnati invested a fourth-round pick in Colbie Young, who’s looked promising in his first training camp and could push for snaps over the 26-year-old.
