The situation no one wanted to imagine with Bengals TE Erick All Jr. is now unfolding
Cincinnati Bengals tight end Erick All Jr. has once again suffered a torn ACL. All’s 2026 season ends after just seven games, and his football future is murky at best.
Cincinnati Bengals tight end Erick All Jr. has once again suffered a torn ACL, per NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
The Bengals officially placed All on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday afternoon, ending All’s 2026 season after just seven games.
TE Cam Grandy is confirmed to be taking All’s roster spot, as reported by WLWT’s Charlie Clifford Monday. Cincinnati is now back to four TEs on its active roster entering the midpoint of the season.
But this is obviously much more than just a seasoning injury for All.
Nightmare scenario for Erick All Jr.
This is devastating for All, and there’s no sense sugarcoating that.
All was drafted in the fourth-round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Bengals. He fell that far because he first tore his ACL during his final year in college at Iowa in 2023.
Cincinnati took a chance on All’s recovery and started leaning on him as a rookie before he re-tore the same ACL right in the middle of the 2024 season. The re-tear led to more surgery and a recovery process that took over a year. He missed the entirety of the 2025 campaign.
All worked so hard to come back from the same ACL tear in his right knee just to experience it yet again during Week 7’s win over the Baltimore Ravens.
Erick All Jr. Bengals stats
Cincinnati’s fourth-round pick from the 2024 NFL Draft
- 15 games played
- 28 receptions
- 214 receiving yards
It was in overwhelming victory just for All to play this year and look like his normal self. Now, the reality of his football future has to come into question.
All is still under contract through the 2027 season. The Bengals can keep him on the roster throughout next offseason and give him one more chance. Will his knee even be good enough to last when it hasn’t over the last three years? The answer won’t be learned for months, but the odds are certainly against him.
Additional roster moves
Along with the signing of Grandy, Cincinnati has also added TE Caden Prieskorn to the practice squad. A first-year player out of the University of Mississippi, Prieskorn was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Detroit Lions following the 2025 draft. He spent 12 games on the practice squads of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns during the 2025 season. He ended up on the Carolina Panthers to end this past offseason and was waived during final cuts.
Prieskorn is in town because TE Josh Kattus, a UDFA signing from May who signed to the practice squad last week, has been placed on the Practice Squad/Injured list.
