Broncos starter fires back at online trash talk about quarterback Bo Nix after massive AFC West win
He’s tired of hearing it after their latest victory.
The Denver Broncos are 9-2. Did many people expect that after elven weeks of play? Probably not. That being said, Sean Payton’s squad continues to find ways to come out victorious against some of the top teams around the NFL. In Week 11, they got a win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs now sit at 5-5, while the Broncos lead the AFC West. The Los Angeles Chargers also lost in Week 11, dropping to 7-4. They sit in second place. With all of these positives for Denver, why is there a lot of online chatter about Bo Niz? His Broncos teammates are tired of hearing about doubts around their quarterback.
Adam Trautman goes scorched earth on social media trash talk about Bo Nix
After the team’s impressive victory, headlined by a late drive by their QB, veteran tight end Adam Trautman let everyone know how they feel about Nix’s doubters. The team and coaching staff have his back, and that’s incredibly clear in this strong statement from the TE.
“If you’re talking s*** about Bo online, you’re a coward. Absolute coward. … He blanks it out … We don’t care what other people think. We know what we have in the building, and we know what he’s made of, and we don’t really care what people have to say, so, Dragonslayer69 with his 7-11 Slurpee in his mom’s basement, I don’t give a s*** what he has to say, right? And Bo doesn’t, either.”
— Adam Trautman on online doubt for Bo Nix
Nix hasn’t been setting the world on fire when it comes to production this season, but that’s not his duty. He is leading the unit and finding the most important ways to hit a deep shot or scramble for a huge first down. The success has been timely, and when you’re winning, that is all that matters.
Sean Payton knows what he expects from the young starter in order to find wins. The Broncos defense has led them to plenty victories, with Nix playing clean football and avoiding major mistakes that other teams are dealing with when they play Denver.
I’ll be interested to see how Nix performs down the stretch and hopefully for Denver, in a playoff run. It isn’t always pretty, but wins are all that matters in the pros. Nix has proven to do enough to help his team get where they want to be far more often than not so far this season.
