If the Lions stay at 28 in the 2025 NFL Draft, here's what time they could be making their pick on Thursday night

The first round of the 2025 NFL Draft is tonight, and the Detroit Lions are currently slated to have the 28th pick. That means you, as a Lions fan and maybe a person who has to work Friday morning, would like to know how late you have to stay up. We have a projection for you on that.
We're basing this on the past few drafts, so we'll give you a time period instead of an exact time. Here's what we got.
Last year, when the Kansas City Chiefs selected Xavier Worthy with the 28th pick, it was 11:30 PM. The year before, when the Cincinnati Bengals selected Myles Murphy with the 28th pick, that was also at 11:30.
When the Green Bay Packers selected Devonte Wyatt in 2022, that was at 11:14. When the Saints took Payton Turner in 2021, that was at 11:52.
I think it's safe to say that the 11:52 might be the anomaly here. The time period that makes the most sense is between 11:00 and 11:30. So, if you want to watch, be prepared to stay up late on Thursday night.
There is always the chance that the Lions could move up in the draft. Last year, they traded up to 24 and took Terrion Arnold at 11:04. Maybe they move up to somewhere near that sweet 10:30 range, and we all go to bed at a reasonable hour.
